Vortex Dryer and Incinerator.Fuel costs can be greatly reduced by using biofuels such as dry sludge, screen residues, wood chips and coal!Previously, most incinerator systems integrated the dryer and incinerator. But as a result of research at Yamato Sanko, we launched a vortex dryer and incinerator that was the first to completely separate the drying machine and incinerator furnace.This is now widely used for sewage sludge, human waste sludge and all kinds of industrial sludge. We have sold several hundred units, which has contributed to preventing pollution and saving fuel in a wide variety of situations.A particular success was in the field of human waste sludge, where we delivered large-scale equipment in 1977 that even now continues to operate well. Reduces CO2 emissions by about 100,000 tons every year.The purpose of the CDM project is to reduce (or absorb) greenhouse gases, while promoting the transfer of advanced environmental technologies and energy saving technologies from developed countries to developing countries.* 1 CDM (Clean Development Mechanism) is a mechanism that creates emission credits based on projects in countries not subject to numerical restriction targets under the Kyoto Protocol. This is a type of market mechanism that was introduced to make it easier for developed countries to achieve their numerical targets. It established a system that also enables developing countries to profit from reducing their greenhouse gas emissions (by selling a corresponding amount as emission credits to developed countries).


1. Operation is easy because the system is automated and continuous.
2. The short heat-up time saves energy.
3. Because complete combustion is performed, the ignition loss of the incineration ash is minimized.
4. Because the inside of the furnace is agitated, clinker generation is low.
5. Energy is saved because the combustion gas from the incinerator furnace is used efficiently in the dryer.
6. Energy is saved because a deodorizing furnace is installed in the upper area of the incinerator furnace.
7. Proper exhaust treatment is performed to prevent secondary pollution. (Complies with regulation values)
8. To also enable fertilizer production, the system can be easily switched between the drying and incineration processes.
9. Because the dryer is installed in front of the furnace, the system can be operated flexibly to match changes in the water content or processing amount.
10. An efficient layout minimizes the installation area.

System Basics

This is based on the principle that the water content of sludge does not burn, but the solid content does burn. The vortex dryer and incinerator has been efficiently designed by taking sludge characteristics into consideration, with the basic objectives of saving energy and labor.
